Come & See Events
Interested in learning more about discernment, finding your vocation, and the priesthood? Then join us for a Come & See event. These are fun, low key gatherings that begin with mass with our Bishop followed by dinner and an opportunity to hear a few vocation stories and an opportunity to meet and interact with other young men considering the priesthood.
Any young man thinking about the priesthood is welcome to attend. Please contact the vocation office to register for the next Come & See event! These events typically take place in December and June every year at the Co-Cathedral of Saint Robert Bellarmine, Freehold.
Priesthood Discernment Groups
These small group gatherings occur monthly from October through May. For those living in Monmouth and Ocean Counties we have our monthly gathering on the 2nd Tuesday of every month at Villa Saint Dominic in Point Pleasant, NJ. For those living in either Mercer or Burlington Counties we have our monthly gathering on the 3rd Tuesday of every month at the Frassati House in Lawrence Township, NJ. These gatherings are for men between the ages of 16-35 who believe that God may be calling them to the priesthood.
Does coming to this group automatically sign you up for the seminary and the priesthood? Absolutely NOT! What this group does is allow us to come together as men thinking about this great vocation. It allows us to pray together and to share with each other our own journeys and how we feel God is calling us to a life of service and love of God’s people. Each meeting will be an opportunity for us to grow as disciples and brothers in Christ. We begin our gatherings with Evening Prayer at 5:00 PM followed by dinner and a conversation based upon a chapter from Cardinal Dolan's book "Priests for the Third Millennium." Each gathering will have a different topic focus, which will be presented by different guest priests from around the diocese.
To attend an upcoming small group gathering contact the vocations office to register!
