Come & See Events
Interested in learning more about discernment, finding your vocation, and the priesthood? Then join us for a Come & See event. These are fun, low key gatherings that begin with mass with our Bishop followed by dinner and an opportunity to hear a few vocation stories and an opportunity to meet and interact with other young men considering the priesthood. Does coming to this group automatically sign you up for the seminary and the priesthood? Absolutely NOT! Each meeting will be an opportunity for us to grow as disciples and brothers in Christ.
Any young man thinking about the priesthood is welcome to attend. Please contact the vocation office to register for the next Come & See event! These gatherings are for men between the ages of 16-35 who believe that God may be calling them to the priesthood.
BBQ 'Come & See'
Join us at St. John the Baptist, Allentown, NJ for talks, fellowship and an opportunity to meet our current seminarians and the priests on our discernment team. The evening will begin with Mass celebrated by our Bishop, David O'Connell and other priests from the Diocese of Trenton. This evening will allow for an opportunity to step out of the ordinariness of life and connect with others who are also discerning God's will within their lives.
A brief overall view of the day begins with Mass with our Bishop at 4:00pm, a brief talk by our newly appointed Director of Vocations, Rev. Christopher Colavito, followed by a BBQ dinner, fellowship, volleyball, bonfire and more.

Advent Discernment Retreat Day
- Typically taking place in December and is hosted by the St. Dominic Parish, Brick, NJ.
- An opportunity to step out of the ordinariness of life and take time to prepare for the true meaning of Christmas with the lense of Discerning God's will in your life.
Lenten Discernment Retreat Day
- Typically takes place in March and hosted by the Co-Cathedral, St. Robert Bellarmine, Freehold, NJ.
- An opportunity to step out of the ordinariness of life and take time to prepare for the Passion of Our Lord with the lense of Discerning God's will in your life.
Annual Summer "Come & See" BBQ
- Typically taking place in June and is hosted by the St. John the Baptist, Allentown, NJ.
- Mass with the Bishop followed by a BBQ, fellowship and activities.
